I'm Serafima P., the breeder behind BlackberryBRT located in Philmont, NY. An AKC Breeder of Merit, experience breeding dogs since 1974, originally Black Russian Terriers, now Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonkas. I breed for health and longevity above all else and within standards. I health test extensively and strive to produce the very best dogs possible.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding originally in Russia all the way back in 1974, breeding world class Black Russian Terriers, and continued to do so when I finally had space and a beautiful home in Upstate New York. I recently fell in love with Bolonkas ten years ago, a beautiful, intelligent, and loyal lap dog. They make wonderful companions.What makes your program special?
I health test extensively, close to the standard, and I delve deep into pedigrees to prevent hereditary issues and aim to breed the very best dogs possible. I care deeply about health and longevity, dogs that are physically capable and intelligent, as well as a beautiful and loving.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Serafima
Serafima has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes AKC registration, deworming, vaccinations depending on age, partial toilet training, veterinarian conducted puppy examination before going home, and lifetime support and advice. All of our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health and pure breed. Deposit is included in the final purchase price.”

Serafima may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
