I'm Christiane B., the breeder behind Blackwoods Yorkies located in Belpre, OH. We dedicate almost all of our time and energy into producing the highest quality Yorkie puppies we can. We love our job and want to help you as you begin your Yorkie journey.

  • What makes your program special?

    When I started breeding Yorkies I wanted the best facility, or home environment for them. I wanted it clean and comfortable, I wanted them to be well cared for and happy, I wanted them to be living in a playful environment and stimulated and I wanted to be able to send them home, very highly socialized and already loved. Every one of my dogs is highly socialized and loved.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Christiane

Christiane has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Christiane partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    It was a pleasure working with Christiane. We have been looking off and on for a little while after our little yorkie Piper passed away last summer. After several family discussions we decided we wanted to find another yorkie to bring back home. It was important to us to find one that had different looks like our Piper had. We were happy to find a Parti Yorkie with Christiane. During our search we looked at rescues and sent application fees with no responses unfortunately. One day before church my wife found Good Dog and began a local search on there. This is when Peter showed up being available on Christiane’s profile. He was listed as a Parti Yorkie and was the “BIG” one out of the litter. After discovering Peter, we prayed and looked for signs that he was the right one for us. That day at church, we had a reading from Saint Peter. That was a big sign for us for sure! Another sign was our Piper was born on 7/11 and Peter was born on 2/11. The last one is the similarity of both their names, Peter (Piper). After all this we decided to continue with the process. Christiane was very responsive to all of our questions and sent us pictures, videos and even video chatted with us on the Good Dog app. After deciding we wanted to adopt Peter we had to was a couple of weeks to pick him up. On adoption day Christiane and her husband met us in Columbus, Ohio for pick up. Both of them are very nice and professional. She gave a goody bag with a blanket, food, stuffed animal, his records and breed information. We have had Peter now for almost a week. He has been a great addition to our family! Definitely an adjustment from senior dog days back to puppy stages. We are bless to have him and look forward to seeing him grow.
