I'm Katriena E., the breeder behind Blessed Little Paws located in Kenosha, WI. It all began as a kid, rescuing dogs with my family. We rescued dozens and I actually originally wanted to be a vet. Than as an adult,I made up my mind that I’d become a breeder. As I saw where there was a need for healthy, loving, well socialized pups. This world truly needs more ethical breeders!
Q. & A. with Katriena
Why did you start breeding?
It all began with rescues. When I was about 10 my parents and us kids helped rescue about 3 dozen dogs. Then after moving back to the north, I started a family of my own and over the past 2 years rescued several more dogs. It wasn’t until I saw Pomskys that I decided I would breed dogs. I already had experience from rescues. That and I wanted to see more healthy, well rounded dogs being bred.
What makes your program special?
My authenticity. If I feel your not a good fit or my dog isn’t the right one for you, I will come out and say it. At the end of the day I want my dogs in the best home possible. However I also want to make sure people are getting the right dog for their needs. That being said, I do not believe in outdoor kennels! I feel dogs need lots of love/attention and plenty of socialization.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Pomsky puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black and blue merle. Pomsky puppies include white, merle, and red and white. Pomeranian puppies include cream, blue, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
