I'm Jacqueline M., the breeder behind Blue Barn Aussies ltd located in Greenville, OH. Our dogs are breed to be a family dog that is hard working loyal and protective. I have raised australian shepherd's for 40 years on our small farm. It is the only breed of dog i have owned. Puppies are akc registered and have champion pedigrees.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always owned standard size australian shepherds. I am dedicated to saving the breed. There are too many inbreeding of litters I have studied pedigrees to increase quality and integrity of the breed.What makes your program special?
I have only one female and male. Im not trying to profit from sales of puppies. Only wanting to help make the australian shepherd breed better with quality dogsWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
