I'm Amy K., the breeder behind Blue Clay Kennels, LLC. located in Kimbolton, OH. We offer some of the best Labrador Retrievers and English Cocker Spaniels in the country. We take the time to pick the right stud for our breeding females. Each compliments the other offering our clients both looks and drive.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We decided to start breeding our own females to improve on their pedigree and performance.
  • What makes your program special?

    We offer dogs from a solid working background. We look at not only strong pedigrees, but also what each dog will offer to the offspring.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Labrador Retriever puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Amy

Amy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Amy partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Our pups come with full registration. Our deposits are non-refundable except in certain circumstances."

Contract & health guarantee

Amy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
