Meet the breeder

I'm Kathleen D., the breeder behind Blue Ridge Mountain Border Collies located in Virginia. We are proud to offer our beautiful Border Collie puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. Our dogs are members of our family and are right by our side for daily life. Our experience with them inspired us to share their affectionate personalities with other loving families!

Q. & A. with Kathleen

  • Why did you start breeding?

Many years ago I bred German Shepherds. After my last GSD passed away I stopped breeding. Other breeds I have had over the years include Toy Poodles, Labrador Retrievers, and now Border Collies. Fiona is the sweetest dog, and with the help of my granddaughter I am back to selectively breeding. The joys of genetics and puppies are unlike anything else.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program consists of a team made up by my family, my veterinarian, and me. You will seldom find a heartier bunch of folks with all of the dog's best interests in mind.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
