I'm Tristin V., the breeder behind Blue Skye Chesapeakes located in Castle Rock, CO. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, and my family has owned Chessies since 2003. This is my first litter, and our breeding pair was thoughtfully selected based on pedigree, health clearances, and demonstrated adherence to the breed’s standard. Our puppies were bred out of love and raised in our home.

Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family. From birth, they are nurtured in a clean, enriching environment where they are handled daily and exposed to a variety of experiences. We take pride in individualized care, ensuring each puppy receives the attention and foundation it needs to thrive. “Price includes the guarantee, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and puppy socialization. The deposit is non-refundable except in the case where the puppy does not meet the buyer’s identified preferences by 7 weeks of age.”

About Ryder
Ryder is an athletic, loving and passionate Chessie who excels at everything she does. She is an International CH IABCA, and secured wins in AKC and UKC events. Her natural instincts and drive have led to her success in scent work earning a NACSW ORT title. She has visited many states across the U.S. and loves new adventures, whether is camping, swimming, hiking, or snowy mountain days.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
