Meet the breeder

I'm Tristin V., the breeder behind Blue Skye Chesapeakes located in Castle Rock, CO. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, and my family has owned Chessies since 2003. This is my first litter, and our breeding pair was thoughtfully selected based on pedigree, health clearances, and demonstrated adherence to the breed’s standard. Our puppies were bred out of love and raised in our home.

Q. & A. with Tristin

  • Why did you start breeding?

Chesapeakes have been a meaningful part of my life and family through every chapter. Today, our dogs are a part of nearly every adventure. Their resilience, loyalty, and adaptability make them a perfect fit for our lifestyle. Ryder, our female, is a quintessential example of the breed, and we have thoughtfully selected a mate who complements her strengths and honors the breed we love so deeply.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family. From birth, they are nurtured in a clean, enriching environment where they are handled daily and exposed to a variety of experiences. We take pride in individualized care, ensuring each puppy receives the attention and foundation it needs to thrive. We will remain involved beyond placement, offering support for our puppy families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
