Q. & A. with Meg

  • Why did you start breeding?

Dachshunds have always been in my family since I was a little girl. In 2024, my 16 year old dachshund, Bo Didley, passed away of old age. This was a very sad time in our home and after his loss I wanted to make sure we carried on his legacy and continued to love this amazing breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We decided to breed dachshunds to be able to provide quality puppies in the Mississippi Delta. We take great pride in our babies and their health and to finding their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Meg was fantastic to work with from start to finish. We found her through Good Dog while looking for a long-haired miniature dachshund, and we ended up bringing home our chocolate-coat female, Coco. Meg is clearly passionate about her dogs. She was very active on Good Dog, extremely responsive to messages, punctual with every step of the process, and very knowledgeable about the breed. At no point did we feel uncertain about anything. She answered questions quickly and made the entire process smooth. We also had to travel quite a distance to pick Coco up, and Meg was very accommodating with scheduling and coordinating the visit, which we really appreciated. Coco herself has been amazing. We already have another dachshund, and honestly she’s made her feel whole. They bonded quickly and it’s been great to see. As an added note, the DNA test that came with Coco’s care package through PetSmart came back 100% dachshund, which was great to see. Not that we ever doubted Meg, but it was a nice confirmation. Overall, this was a great experience. If you’re looking for a miniature dachshund and want a breeder who is responsive, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her dogs, Meg is someone you can trust.
