I'm Ruth D., the breeder behind Bogatyr Dobermans located in Vancouver, WA. To continue to pass on longevity of versatility, health, temperament and structure of this lovely breed.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding after I imported my second Doberman from Greece. I connected to a group of people on instagram where we would swap information, or ask each other questions about the breed itself. We dove deep into researching pedigrees and health testing. We discovered that a lot of Dobermans have been getting diagnosed with DCM by the age of 5 year old or younger and noticed a lot over hyped size heads/body size. In other words, there was an influx of out of standard Dobermans with the label “euro” to justify the size of the dog. I want to improve the longevity of their health at the same time keeping the drive, temperament and structure of the breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Ruth
Ruth has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Ruth partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

About Boujee
Boujee is a female Doberman Pinscher about 4 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Ruth decided to make her part of their program. Ruth has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Working Aptitude (WAE), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
