I'm Daniela C., the breeder behind Bohemian Beauty Yorkshire Terrier located in Portland, OR. I deeply care about our dogs because they are all part of our family. I insist on talking/Facetiming with my potential buyer(s) to get to know them and learn about the environment the puppy will live in. I don't ship my pups, but can meet halfway or fly at half of the expense.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    With my husband traveling due to his job, three kids and no relatives living nearby, I needed a job that I could do from the comfort of our home. It took me 4 years from the time I had the idea to the point where we had our first litter. I did a lot of research and imported 3 of my dogs from Europe from my mentor. I am honest and transparent with my buyer(s) and try to provide as much information as possible.

Getting a puppy from Daniela

    Daniel was so wonderful to work with. She was very responsive, informative and very easy to work with. We were able to set up a FaceTime with our little bundle so we could “meet” her before the long journey to pick her up and bring her to her forever home. I loved how I would get weekly updates on how much she was growing and pictures! It was so wonderful to see her in the weeks leading up to when we could get her! Daniela really cares about her dogs and made sure to ask great questions to make sure we would be good dog parents to her puppies!     We had a great experience purchasing our puppy through Daniela. During our initial communication she was responsive and provided lots of helpful information about her puppies, expectations, and the process. The more we communicated the more we felt comfortable and that we could trust her and the process. When we met to complete the purchase, she provided lots of helpful information as well as a wonderful goody bag that has proved to be great for our little guy. Now that we've had our puppy home for a month, I can confidently say that he is amazingly well adjusted and a welcome addition to our household. He's very friendly and loving, confident enough to explore the his new household, and also has an appropriate level of fear of unfamiliar things. He's also integrating with our Jack Russell Terrier without being too much of a nuisance. All of these things point to our puppy being raised in a loving and caring environment where he was socialized and exposed to many of the sites and sounds of the typical household so that he has less fear now that he's off on his own in a new home. Based on our experience, I would definitely buy from this breeder again.

    What a great experience! We could not ask for more in terms of responsiveness and communication from Daniela, but what is more important is that Eddie (originally Ike) is such a great dog! He is happy, healthy, and very well socialized. He easily adapted to his new home, and he is happy and curious, never fearful. He loves new people and new experiences, and rarely barks. This reflects on Daniela’s great work to socialize these little guys. We highly recommend Daniela’s Bohemian Beauties! We are just thrilled.

    We had been looking for a Yorkshire terrier for several months by the time we met Daniela. We left a message on Good Dog about Frank, as we were very interested in him. She got back to us within several hours and described how he looked and his his personality. When we picked up our dog we were so pleased with how the visit went, as we could see the mom and dad, Frank, plus the rest of the pack. There must have been 6 dogs that came out on the lawn to greet us. The dogs seemed happy, inquisitive, and friendly with one another. They had shiny coats, good weight, and bright eyes. We could tell that Daniela cared about her dogs by how they acted, but also how she interacted with them. She provided a ‘care packet’ that included our dogs current food, training treats, a blanket that he and a sibling had been using, and a wonderfully written description of how to raise a dog. One thing that stood out to me was the information about how to keep your dog happy. It mentioned play, security, exercise, but also a need ‘to be with their own kind’.i had never heard that before but it made total sense. We would go back to Bohemian Beauty Kennels and Daniela if we wanted another dog, and have mentioned her to several friends.

    Daniela was a joy to work with. She was very helpful and gave us information we never had before, and we also have a 7-year-old Yorkie. She recommended homemade puppy food that is quite easy to make and is delicious and nutritious for Duncan to eat. Not only that, but she also recommended a book that covers so much information about Yorkies that has helped with both our puppy, Duncan, and our 7-year-old, Smokie. Daniela has checked in with us several times to make sure everything was running smoothly, and that Duncan was doing well. If we get another Yorkie, we will definitely go back to Daniela.
