Meet the breeder

I'm Laura H., the breeder behind Boise Doodle Co. located in Caldwell, ID. Welcome! I’m Laura, and our family raises calm, connected, family-minded Cavapoos right here in our home. If you’re looking for: Gentle, family-ready dogs Low-to-non-shed coats Dogs raised with intentional love + real structure.

Q. & A. with Laura

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up on a farm where animals were part of daily life. Dogs were my constant, steady companions. Years later, after raising my own family, I wanted to share that same calm, loyal companionship with others. Breeding became a way to combine purpose, heart, and home—raising dogs that truly feel like family.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program special is that we raise puppies in our home, not in kennels. We focus on calm, family-friendly temperaments, early socialization, and full health testing. Every puppy is known, handled, and nurtured individually—so they grow into confident, loving companions who truly fit into real life.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Sheepadoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Poodle puppies include toy, miniature, moyen, and standard sizes. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Schnoodle puppies include silver, parti, brown, black and white, and black and tan. Sheepadoodle puppies include merle, blue merle and white, blue merle, gray and white, and black and white. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, brown, cafe au lait, cream, red, white, phantom, and brindle. Cavapoo puppies include merle, red, tri-color, chocolate, brown, and black and tan. Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

My mini goldendoodle is absolutely gorgeous. As I’ve gotten to know him, his temperament is so sweet and playful. He gives lots of love. He’s so smart! He’s super healthy. Laura was an absolute delight to work with. I’ve purchased many dogs from all over the country and I can say without a doubt, this has been my best experience. Laura’s pups are beautiful, healthy, and have amazing temperaments. The prices that she charges for the quality of dog you receive are unbeatable and I will absolutely be back.

Laura was just great! I had a lot of questions which she answered promptly. It is obvious that she loves her dogs and provided them with a wonderful, healthy background before you get them. And her pups are beautiful. We brought our female poodle home just a few days ago and what a wonderful little girl. She is quiet and mellow but also peppy and fun. I recommend getting a dog from Laura highly!
