I'm Sarah S., the breeder behind Boopenstein Doxies located in Salome, AZ. At Boopenstein Doxies, our purpose is to preserve the beauty and courageous heart of the Dachshund. Our mission is to match healthy, well-socialized AKC-registered pups with loving homes. Each pup comes with a health guarantee and the peace of mind that they were raised as part of our family.

Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began with a deep personal connection to the breed. It evolved into a purpose-driven program when I realized the emotional impact my babies had on my life. At that point, I wanted to share that with others.
What makes your program special?
Our pups are loved and cuddled every day, we have a dedicated focus on prioritizing temperament and early socialization in a home environment, and we ensure our pups are not just pets but anchors for their owners, not only as companions, but also as emotional support, as owning a dachshund is a commitment for the rest of their lives.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and cream, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Sarah

Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sarah partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing puppies with families. Prospective puppy parents are welcome to travel to our home and spend quality time getting to know the pups and their personalities. Im 100% transparent with everyone. My goal is the safety and security of the little ones. I do understand there will be exceptions, as there may be times you are not able to make the trip to meet the pup until you pick it up. Those will be addressed as they arise.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes a health guarantee, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, and puppy socialization. This price reflects a limited registration, full ACK request will be considered. Puppy deposits are the same price regardless of sex, color, size, or hair length.”

Contract & health guarantee

Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Sarah offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Sarah directly.
