I'm Rachelle S., the breeder behind Bossy's Bulldogs located in Portland, OR. We are experienced breeders of top-quality Bulldogs. Our puppies are raised with care, and we only sell to responsible homes. We are a selective breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes. Our American Bulldogs make great farm utility dogs, do well with guard and protection work, and are all around amazing family dogs. They are all amazing with children and other family pets including cats and other dogs. We are entering the show ring soon now that COVID is getting better and we hope to continue expanding our program.
Q. & A. with Rachelle
Why did you start breeding?
Rachelle purchased her first American Bulldog, Bosco, in early 2005 after framing of them for years! Bosco is the one who started it all and the name where our kennel derives is name from - "Bossy" was his Nickname! We had several other American Bulldogs throughout the years before finally finding Daisy. Daisy has a phenomenal pedigree and structure and would be a show winner everytime, but she's missing a toe from birth which is a DQ in show. Instead, we found her a stud - our main man Dozer - who is from the same lines as Daisy. They have now produced some amazing puppies that fit the standard of perfection to a tee! We have now brought on Rockstar to add a little different lineage to breed in as she's much more bully type, heavy set and thick than the females in Daisy's line so far. Our hope is that once these two females lines are combined, we will have future puppies that are perfectly blended between the strengths of both Daisy and Rockstar. Dozer is the icing on the cake, as he brings in mass, structure, muscle, heaviness and DRIVE. Dozer and his puppies have an amazing drive and bulldogedness that I've never seen in other Bulldogs! They will definitely win the "driviest puppy" contest every time! If you're looking for dogs that will protect your farm but welcome your friends with love and sleep with your children at night, these are the dogs for you!
What makes your program special?
We focus on family orientation and working ability while others are chasing fads. We do not try to keep up with the Jones, rather, we are focused on creating amazing American Bulldogs that can work like their ancestors did in all conditions - heat, rain, sleet or snow! Our dogs *must* be good with all members of our family and especially our children, therefore, we guarantee that our puppies will always be good family and kid dogs! We strive for healthy dogs and check hips and elbows, do vet checks on dogs before breeding, and do not ever breed dogs that pass all exams.

Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Our prices are set for many reasons, but one being that Daisy requires c-sections, which is a large expense. However, it allows for each puppy to be health checked by a vet at birth to check for deformities or any health issues. Our puppies are pedigreed through NKC and we are considering dual registering them to ABA as we are licensed with each. Our dogs are health checked before breeding also. Each puppy has received two rounds of worming and one to two series of puppy shots when they go to their new homes. They each come with their pedigrees and registration papers as well as birth certificates, puppy introductions, food and little packages. If the puppies are reserved or picked early, the families will receive new pictures and updates often before the puppies come home. Pet puppies are required to be spayed/neutered and will be sold at the lower price. Show/brood stock will be sold at the higher price and with breeding rights.”
