I'm Gordon T., the breeder behind Briar Creek Kennels located in Statesboro, GA. We hold ourselves to high standards for the integrity of our program. All of our puppies are socialized, nurtured, and loved! Our puppies are raised in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding after a very long stint working as a small animal transporter, traveling the United States. Over that time, I slowly collected all of my dogs to add into my program, and now I’ve taken a break to focus on breeding.

  • What makes your program special?

    My breathing program is special because of the time and effort spent building out. I have very diverse lines as well as some dogs with champion lines in their pedigree.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Pomeranian puppies include cream, blue, tri-colored, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Animal Genetics Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I contacted Gordon about a specific pup (Emmer) in his current litter because I liked her look. After speaking with Gordon about my wants and needs, he directed me toward another pup (Semolina), one he believed would be a better fit, a pup he was considering keeping himself to add to his program. And I had to admit, she did seem like a very good fit for me based in what Gordon told me about her so we were matched up. Weeks passed as the litter grew older, got their vaccines and vet checks. Gordon regularly updated the photos of the litter, and we had a number of chats over the weeks. It was clear to me from the beginning that Gordon was more than just a breeder. He deeply cares about his pups and is very specific about who he matches them up with, giving each pup its best chance at success in finding its forever home right from the start. Finally “D-Day” arrived, and Gordon delivered my pup right to my door with a huge basket of toys, comb/brush, “eat slow” dish, blanket complete with the smell of her siblings, a toy that smelled like mom and more. He explained how to comb out hair tangles prior to brushing her hair and went over other specifics. I believe Gordon creates a bond with all of his pups, but I think he was extra bonded with Semolina (renamed Penelope), and the parting’s bittersweetness was evident. As I said in the beginning, Gordon is not just another breeder. He loves all his pups and vets potential owners to ensure good matches. I am very grateful that he selected me as a candidate to be a “pup parent” and that he matched me with my little lovebug Penelope! <3 I highly recommend Gordon as a breeder. He produces beautiful, healthy pups with lovely temperaments-pups that are loved and socialized right from their beginnings. And, on a personal note, I find him to be a bright light in a world that needs more humans like him.

    Gordon was such an informative and interactive breeder. I received numerous updates, pictures, and even a personalized Christmas card prior to drop off.     Where to start??!! My experience from start to finish was amazing.Gordon was quick to respond to all my questions when it came to Ace [Chandler]. Due to a trip previously arranged meeting Ace was delayed a few weeks but during that time I received updates with pictures and videos. Even facing a natural disaster Godon still made sure we were updated. Dedicated is an understament. Above all else there was no hesitation when it came to getting Ace home- travelling clear across the US I wa updated oh Ace and his travel adventures. Training with Ace Gordon did an outstanding job. Despite being in a new envrionnment there were no accidents he was able to sleep through the night and does well.with other pups. Again I can't say enough about the beautiful experience I have had working with Gordon and Briar Creek Kennels.many thanks!!
