Our dogs are bred for health and temperament, with a focus on preserving the hunting characteristics of the breed. We breed intelligent, athletic dogs who make wonderful pets and companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I was led to breeding by a terrific little hunting Dachshund. She revealed to me the beauty of purebred dogs - how they were historically bred to work and be useful. I realized in this modern world, dogs are often bred for cuteness. But here I had a little Dachshund demonstrating an inborn aptitude for complex hunting behavior. It felt like it was my obligation to perpetuate that.What makes your program special?
We produce dogs who are great in the field, the dog sport world, or at home with their family. The Dachshund was originally a multi-purpose hunting and farm dog, and we breed true to those ideals in that our dogs can assume many different roles in their lives. Many high drive hunting dogs can be intense, but we focus on producing dogs with lovely calm temperaments who are easy to live with.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
