I'm Tricia P., the breeder behind Briarwood Collies located in Nevada, MO. At Briarwood Collies our dogs are bred with a focus on health, temperament, and intelligence. We genetically test all our puppies. So we offer a 10 year health guarantee. If your Collie dies from a genetically inherited health disease . We will replace your pup free of charge.

Why did you start breeding?
I have had a Collie since I was 2 and my parents were breeders. Collies have always been a part of our lives. We love the breed and wouldn't raise any other!What makes your program special?

Collie puppies include black white and tan, sable merle, sable and white, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Tricia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Tricia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“This price includes puppy registration, Vaccinations, puppy socialization, genetic testing, starter puppy food, health guarantee, puppy collar. We ask for half down. All of our puppies are not the same price. It depends on their Genetics. Our pet price is $1610.00. Our Breeder/Show price is $3,000.00.”

Program update on 12 Apr •…This is Dixie! Dixie is beautiful, sweet and so smart! We are retiring Dixie and we believe that she deserves her very own human or family. Where she can receive unconditional ❤️ love a attention. We are only asking 500.00 to place her. If you think you would like to provide a loving home for this sweet girl then please reach out to us. Remember, that depending on where you are located there will be shipping cost. To airship the rate is figured per lb and she would have to ship in a large crate.

Litter update on 12 Apr •…This is Dreamer! Dreamer is a 2 year old Male Collie. We originally kept him as a breeding/show prospect. We have decided not to use him and that he would be better off with a family or kennel of his own. Dreamer is clear for CEA, CN, DM, PRA, RIPD and MDR1. He is low risk for DMS. Dreamer is such a beautiful boy! He looks a lot like his Daddy, Expo!

Program update on 04 Sept 2025 •…We are trying something new at Briarwood Collies. A Working Dog Cross between our Border Collie, Brindie, and our American Shepard, Ringo. This is my husband Tom's project. He is breeding for herding and family dogs! Tom has been my partner in crime, so to speak. He has helped me raise Collies for 40 years. So this is his turn. These puppies are just stinking cute! Don't you guys think so?

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Dermatomyositis, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
