I'm Isabelle F., the breeder behind Brilliant Kennels located in Brazil, IN. Our dogs are bred for lower energy levels, making them better suited to more environments such as city life. They also are very intelligent, and there’s a wide range of job opportunities available to train for. They can excel at therapy, frisbee, livestock, and above all, as a member of the family.

Why did you start breeding?
After I bought Skye, realizing her calm disposition was rare in border collies, I decided I needed to preserve that trait at all costs. I wanted to make border collies available to a wider range of owners, and prove those wrong who say you “can’t own them in town because of their high energy”. I believe everyone should have the chance to enrich their lives with a border collie.What makes your program special?
We have AKC champion bloodlines. We also allow all dogs a chance at herding livestock, but strive to make good companion dogs above all, because they’ll be the best friend you’ll ever have!What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, blue merle, red merle, and lilac. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Chance
Chance is a fun-loving boy, full of personality, playful, intelligent and enthusiastic. He loves playing with other dogs and running around horses. But his favorite thing above all is his red Kong frisbee! He will spend hours chasing it. He is very social, sweet, and sensitive.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
