Meet the breeder

I'm Kelsey B., the breeder behind Brinton Goldens located in Idaho Falls, ID. We raise confident, well-socialized Golden Retrievers in our home and offer lifetime support to every puppy family. From health-tested and titled parents to early training and enrichment, we’re committed and dedicated to setting each puppy up for success and staying part of their journey for life.

Q. & A. with Kelsey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I didn’t set out to become a dog breeder. I set out to raise a dog that could help me heal. After some tough seasons in life, I found a deep appreciation for the loyalty, comfort and steady presence that dogs bring. What started as a dream to raise one really good dog became a passion for raising many. Now my family and I raise them together. Somehow it feels like exactly where we’re meant to be.
  • What makes your program special?

We take a research-backed approach to breeding. Our dogs complete full genetic testing, OFA, and PennHIP. We earn AKC titles to prove structure, soundness, and drive. Only dogs who meet high standards in health, temperament, and ability are bred. Puppies are raised in our home with Puppy Culture, ENS, ESI, and daily enrichment. This is a labor of love with real purpose behind it.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I tell anyone I meet about how great Brinton Goldens is! Kelsey and her husband were amazing. During the process of adoption they were responsive and provided a ton of information to help me get ready for my puppy’s arrival. In addition, my puppy Viviana came to me crate trained and potty trained, which made our first week together way easier than I could’ve ever imagined. They also provided several items to help her get settled with me (ex., food, snuggle puppy, blanket with moms sent, toys, treats). Not only that but her paperwork came with a guide with incredibly helpful information on raising a puppy. Honestly would recommend them to anyone! If Viviana needs a sibling in the future I’m reaching out to Kelsey!
