Meet the breeder
I'm Victoria R., the breeder behind Bristol Bay Labradors located in Yamhill, OR. We are passionate, ethical breeders that focuses on preserving, protecting, and maintaining the standards of this magnificent breed. All of our dogs are hand raised in our home with love. We do extensive health (DNA, hips, elbows, eyes, heart, etc) testing on all parents before breeding. We breed only when we want to add to our own dogs (usually every 18-36 months) We compete ina number of AKC activities, including conformation, hunt, rally, some obedience. We have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family complementary to their personality and ability!

Why did you start breeding?
It was a dream of my late husband's and I to breed Labs that would be enjoyed in our home, hunting with us in Alaska and meeting the huge variety of people we deal with each day. Starting with two great yellow 'girls' that came from sounds breeding programs on the East Coast we entered the arena of training and showing. From there, after a number of years and study we started breeding for the traits we value...healthy, well mannered, smart, loving dogs.What makes your program special?
We are focused first on the health and temperaments of our dogs. We regularly test our dogs for health issues, reporting to a national clearing house for verification. Our litters are planning months, if not years, in advance keeping our desire to improve the breed always in mind. Our puppies area raised right in our home and spend their entire time interacting with our household, not out in a kennel. We also support our new puppy owners with information, answering questions once they get home, and advice as they grow into a loved member of their families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Price
"The price includes a health guarantee, first shots, chipped, a vet visit and limited AKC registration. Deposits are accepted for pups once they are born and we can track the desired traits, gender and color. If we are unable to meet the needs of the buyer, once a deposit is accepted, we will transfer it to another litter with no time limit."

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
