I'm Brooke C., the breeder behind Brooke's Darling Dachshunds located in Ohio. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Actually my grandfather raised Red River Beagles while I was growing up. Most of my childhood pictures have a pup in them somewhere. He taught me everything I know about breeding and properly caring for my animals. Oscar was my 1st dachshund at 12 years old. He was the best dog ever. After he passed in 2012, I knew then I wanted to better this breed, and help others find their own amazing pups!

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our pups are raised in home, in their own nursery room. They are handled daily, get tons of love, and playtime by our small family. They leave accustomed to children as we have a daughter who is always over the moon with new litters. She loves helping mom raise and take care of them. Once they are about 6-7 weeks old, we move them to the living room to mingle with our adult dogs.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, blue and tan, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Brooke

Brooke has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price is determined by sex & pattern. Puppies come with health records, up to date on vaccines, wormings, a bag of goodies, small bag of food they are currently on and pre spoiled! The deposit is to reserve your puppy, your commitment to your puppy. I will refund a deposit if I feel the puppy will not be a good fit. Meaning (in danger, harms way, unable to care for said puppy).”

Contract & health guarantee

Brooke may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     I cant say enough wonderful things about Brooke! I’m so glad I decided to look outside of California because even from the other side of the country she made our adoption experience wonderful! Not only did I get the most perfect girl but I also gained a friend, 2000 miles away! After almost being scammed 3 separate times via Facebook, I felt defeated. I was ready to call it quits on my Doxie search but thankfully I decided to take one last look on the app called Good Dog. There I came across Brooke’s “Golden Girl’s” litter. The moment I saw little Dorothy, I knew she was meant to be mine. I wrote Brooke immediately. I felt the best vibes from our very first conversation. The next day we booked a flight. Over the next almost 2 months, I messaged Brooke often. She kindly answered all of my one million questions and shared her experiences and advice. I could tell how much she loves her Doxies and I felt so lucky to be adding one to our family. She kept us up to date on Dorothy’s milestones, as well as pictures and videos. She went above and beyond to make sure Dorothy’s trip home was smooth with the airport requirements. Fast forward to March 11th, my husband flew to Ohio and was warmly greeted at the airport by Brooke and Dorothy. Brooke put together a care package. She also sent me an adorable 1st picture of Dorothy and my husband while I was at work, counting down the hours until they made it back. On to the best part of this story, Dorothy. She is PERFECT! She’s beyond sweet, has the best temperament and the cutest personality! Brooke and her daughter giving her lots of love and cuddles was very evident. Dorothy has been the best addition to our family! We loved her before we met her and even more now! Thank you Brooke and family for our sweet baby Golden Girl! We’d happily adopt from you again! 💞
