I'm susan k., the breeder behind Brookstone Labradors located in New Hampshire. We are a small family owned kennel and have been breeding Labrador Retrievers for 30 years. Our dogs are our family. All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club. Before we consider a dog as breeding or stud quality, they are judged for temperament and conformation and must pass OFA hip ,elbow clearances, eye clearances. Cardiac Echo, and a full DNA panel is established. We have had 13 conformation Champions, 6, I have bred myself. 2 dogs with working titles and 2 CGC. and a Canadian Champion. I am deeply humbled by the grit that goes into to going into doing this "the right way" Saying goodbye to that gorgeous dog because he/she did not pass a clearance is heart breaking but what is morally right.
