I'm Eddie B., the breeder behind Brown Acres Collies located in Sedalia, MO. The puppies are from AKC Registered parents. My wife, Wes, and I have been raising Collies since 2009. Puppies are farm-raised around goats and chickens and grandchildren. Outstanding pedigrees with numerous champions in the lines.
Q. & A. with Eddie
Why did you start breeding?
Wes and I both had Collies when we were growing up, and we bought our first male in 1992. We had so much trouble finding his replacement that we decided to buy a female as well, and we had just bought the farm, about 7 miles north of the church I pastored for 27 years before retirement. In 2022, I published my first book: ALL PARISHIONERS GREAT AND SMALL. It features lighthearted stories about the people and places I pastored over 40 years. AND THERE IS A COLLIE ON THE FRONT COVER. Get the book on Amazon to know more about us.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies just look good! And they ARE good! It makes a difference being raised on a farm. Our puppies are raised with SPACE to play. They leave the kennel for the shady puppy pens, and toward day's end, they get time to just be a puppy and explore. They never go farther than a couple of hundred feet from their moms, but they wrestle and chase and run and tumble on Brown Acres.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Matched dogs
These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.
Jasper has a full-white collar, and at 5 weeks, he likes to cuddle, but he loves to roughhouse with the pack. He's a happy boy.

Parent dogs
Jasmine, mom
Collie
About Jasmine
Jasmine is a fun girl. She loves to fetch and play, and one of her tactics to get attention is to anticipate where I am going, and then she goes and sits down directly in my path so that I will love on her. Like all Collies, she is happiest when she is with her people. She has herding instincts inherited from her mom, and she is just plain good-looking!
Callie, mom
Collie
About Callie
Callie is loyal and attentive. She obeys instantly, and she is the best herder (of goats) that we have ever had – well, she and her dad, Crown Prince Tristan of Brown Acres, – both of them were instinctive herders. Callie is calm and gentle and loves her people well. Callie has Champions in her lineage.
Prince Thunder, dad
Collie
About Prince Thunder
Prince Thunder is a fun and sweet bundle of energy. He adores attention. He aims to please. He is gentle with everyone – our grandchildren included. He is as fast as any Collie we have ever had (in our 33 years of having Collies). He is from a long line of Champion Collies and has great genetics and looks.
Katie, mom
Collie
About Katie
Katie is calm and predictable, never pushy, always a lady. Gentle with children and greets newcomers with a Collie smile. Her coat has reddish tinges.
