I'm Shelby B., the breeder behind Brown Family Aussies located in Petersburg, TN. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! We adore Miniature Australian Shepherds. Our dogs have enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of the breed with others. Owning a Miniature Australian Shepherd is a beautiful experience, and it would be our honor to connect you with the perfect new addition to your family.

Why did you start breeding?
It all started with a sweet girl named Sugar Bear. My goal is to share the love of this breed pup by pup.What makes your program special?
My program is special because like any other responsible breeder do this for the love of the breed and nothing else. My blood, sweat, and tears go into each and every one of my puppies to make sure they have a full and happy life and go on to be raised by a family that loves and respects them in every way.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Shelby
Shelby has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $200 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes first round of vaccines, worming (begun at 2 weeks) health and wellness exam, take home bag, and ASDR registration papers. Price does NOT include breeding rights. All deposits are non-refundable. The only exception to this is if you put your deposit down before the litter has been born and we don't have the color or gender you put the deposit on. (Example: you put a deposit down on a blue merle female but the litter contains no blue merles or only male merles.).”
Contract & health guarantee
Shelby may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. We adopted our boy from Shelby at 'Brown Family Aussies'. It was the best experience ever! Shelby is a wonderful dog momma, a very conscientious breeder and an all around lovely person! She made the experience of adopting a puppy so easy and she was always willing to answer questions, or send us a picture of our boy as he was growing those first 6 weeks. She is very knowledgeable about the breed and was so helpful answering our endless questions. (As first time Aussie owners we had lots!!) I cannot say enough how much we appreciate her and how terrific she truly is! If you are looking for a sweet puppy with a sound background, and from a loving environment, this is where you need to be!!
