Meet the breeder

I'm Anna M., the breeder behind Bunkhouse Aussies located in Albertville, AL. Australian Shepherds are a wonderful breed of dog. They are very smart and can be used as working dogs or also make great family pets. They are always ready to play or for a job to complete! They are so loyal and will be a great addition to your life.

Q. & A. with Anna

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandmother had the business, and I always helped her as a kid. When I was older and mature enough, she asked me to be a partner in Bunkhouse Aussies and of course I accepted. I love Aussies, an I wanted to be able to share the love for a dog to others.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a stay-at-home dog mom. We have all of our dogs tested to make sure they are clear from health issues. We take pride in keeping them clean, groomed, and on all necessary prevention (such as heartworm and flee pills).
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
