I'm Meagan B., the breeder behind Burkhart Family Puppies located in Iowa. Our puppies are raised on a puppy curriculum in our home with our family. We offer a 2 year health guarantee on all of our puppies because we believe in their quality and stand by them!
Q. & A. with Meagan
Why did you start breeding?
I got my first Toy Aussie 12 years ago and fell in love with the breed. I love their athleticism, loyalty, and overall intelligence. Not to mention their beautiful coats! I got into breeding after years of research and waiting for the right time for my family, the pups, and myself. I frequently take new classes to improve our breeding program and the well-being of our adults and puppies!
What makes your program special?
We raise our puppies in our home along side our family pets and children and we only breed the healthiest and best bloodlines. All puppies are raised on an advanced service dog puppy curriculum ensuring they are able to put their best paw forward in life! We do occasionally use Guardian Homes so we give all our adult dogs the love, respect, care, and homes they deserve.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Australian Shepherd puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
