Why did you start breeding?
My passion for Labrador Retrievers began with a love for everything the breed represents: loyalty, versatility, intelligence, and companionship. As my involvement with the breed grew, so did my interest in the science behind responsible and ethical breeding. I became passionate about health testing, pedigrees, genetics, and carefully selecting pairings that complement one another both structurally and temperamentally. At Butlertown Labradors, my goal is to produce well-rounded Labradors that are true to the breed standard while also excelling as loving family companions. I value calm, stable temperaments, natural retrieving instincts, sound structure, and the ability to settle easily in the home while still enjoying work and activity. Every breeding is thoughtfully planned with health, longevity, temperament, and the future of the breed in mind. My dogs are raised as part of the family, and I take great pride in matching each puppy with the right home so they can thrive as lifelong companions.What makes your program special?

Through Butlertown Labradors, I strive to preserve the Labrador Retriever as it was meant to be: sound in structure, stable in temperament, and true to breed standard. I value calm, biddable dogs with natural retrieving instinct, an off switch in the home, and the drive to enjoy work and activity when asked. My dogs are raised as part of the family, with a strong focus on health, temperament, and producing well rounded Labradors that can thrive in both active and companion homes.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Cailin
Cailin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Cailin partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“The price includes health check, first set of shots/deworming, microchipping, ENS/EIS, and introduction to crate training. all of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or sex. We place puppies based on temperament/match to what you are looking for.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
