I'm Emily H., the breeder behind Butter Cup Pups and Paws located in Stanwood, WA. I'm Emily H., the breeder behind Buttercup Pups and Paws. Our puppies are raised in our home alongside our family. We breed for temperament, structurally correct, healthy dogs. We do ENS, puppy massage, and socialization to prepare your puppy to go home. Crate & litterbox trained. AKC & genetics.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Growing up I had many dogs and unfortunately have gone through the heartbreak of losing pups due to the health problems that came with having dogs from backyard breeders. After working along side a couple breeder we have dedicated ourselves to preserving the breeds so that everyone can enjoy having a happy, healthy best friend. We take great responsibility and joy to breed high quality dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our dogs are genetically tested, have OFA certificates and are AKC registered (if applicable). We crate and litter box train all of our puppies by the time they are 8 weeks to make the transition from here to your home as easy as possible for both you and the puppy. Every puppy will be seen by a vet and be up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and deworming prior to going home.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include tiny, mini, and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include red and tri-color. Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are black rust and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Emily

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emily partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $3,200 - $4,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Emily may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
