I'm Eva C., the breeder behind C Horns Ranch Border Collies located in Shelbyville, TN. We love our dogs and do everything we can to ensure they get the best lives possible. That includes choosing healthy parents with good temperaments to proper socialization and daily care. We strive to provide our puppies and their families with a positive experience!

Why did you start breeding?
I have always had a passion for animals and dogs just made it easier. After doing my research on the breed, I knew they were perfect for my ranch and our active family. I decided I wanted to breed border collies to provide people with that all around dog that would work on the farm, do sport activities and hang out with the family.What makes your program special?
These dogs are part of my family. I kept a couple of puppies and knew right off they were special. Between the dad and mom, they pass on athletic, gritty, loving, beautiful, and loyal babies. About Mia
Mia is a quiet responsive dog. Loves her people but wants to work. She loves to herd, and compete. She is fast, but has a great off switch. She has earned her CGC and CGCA, Farm Dog and DCAT titles this year. She will have her Coursing title and hopefully start Barnhunt in the fall of 2025. This girl is small but powerful and loves to do whatever you ask of her.

Whiskey is that all-around athletic dog. Whiskey goes from herding on the family farm, to competing in AKC events to watching TV with the family. He loves balls, frisbees, and water. His personality, athleticism, and beauty are passed on to his puppies. He competes in Fast Cat (BCAT, DCAT), Coursing (CA), Barnhunt, and Dock Diving. Whiskey has babies that have titles in Fast Cat, CAT, Barnhunt, Dock Diving, Agility, Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Farm Dog, Rally, and S.T.A.R. Puppy. Most importantly, he has babies that are the most amazing, loving, loyal family members.

About Tequila
Tequila is a medium-coat tri-chocolate pretty girl. She is atheletic, agile and happy all of the time. She loves herding, fast cat, and barnhunt. She is always on the go and loves to work. She works hard, but loves harder. I would say she is the most gritty (tough) little dog I have ever owned. She will do anything that is asked of her and do it well. Her puppies are doing and holds titles in herding, barnhunt, coursing, fast cat, and agility.

About Rookie
Rookie is that dog who will do anything you ask of him, and do it well. Rookie is from my very first litter between Whiskey and Lark. I can honestly say, that pairing produces the most amazing versatile dogs. Rookie has the following titles Fast Cat - BCAT DCAT, CAT - CA, Farm Dog, CGC - Canine Good Citizen . We are currently working on a Rally, Obedience, CGCC - Canine Good Citizen Community. He has done Dock Diving, Herding (Sheep and Cattle). He is service trained and goes everywhere with me. He is on the stout size of Border Collies but his grandsire was a big working ABCA dog on a farm in North Tennessee. His size doesn't slow him down because he is ranking in the top 20 Fastest Border Collies in the nation.

Lark is used to herd on the family farm. Lark is athletic and breed's that natural instinct of herding to her puppies. Lark is the sweetest, kindest dog and wants to always please. She is a beautiful smooth coat red and white tri. Larks has babies that have titles in Fast Cat, CAT, Barnhunt, Dock Diving, Agility, Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Farm Dog, Rally, and S.T.A.R. Puppy. Most importantly, he has babies that are the most amazing, loving, loyal family members. Larks puppies are listed in the top ten of the fastest border collies on the nation for 2024 and 2025. Lark passes on her speed, agility and loving nature to all of her puppies.

Frog LOVES people! She is very athletic and fast. She will do whatever you ask of her but has a great off switch. She has her BCAT in fastcat and 1 run away from her CA in coursing. She is focused and fast. She is a dark chocolate!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We were thrilled when we came upon the most beautiful border collie pup ever on the Good Dogs website. Good Dogs carefully vet the breeders and open the portal for people to learn about the breeder and his/her dogs. We recognize how much time Eva gives to her puppies after bringing Tilly home. Tilly clearly loves to be held, and is well adjusted, which is a reflection of Eva’s love and care for her pups. As we were considering Tilly, Eva responded quickly to our many questions and sent up pictures and videos regularly.
