I'm Peter T., the breeder behind CA__Dachshunds located in Lakeland Village, CA. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I had doxies growing up so we have always loved the breed, We got our first born Jonas almost 5 years ago and we fell in love even more! We have a passion for keeping a purebred bloodline going!

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our pups leave with not only their FIRST round of shots but also the SECOND, which isn’t always typical. We also of course have vet checks and health checks/ guarantees. All pups also come with microchips, apple airtag and goodie bag to go.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, black, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Peter

Peter has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Peter partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Peter was a great person to get my first puppy from, very responsive and friendly and was very helpful throughout the whole process. Was flexible with the date of pick up, Benji the puppy that was bought is currently growing up well with 4 other siblings and is enjoying his days with them.     We love our puppy from Peter so so so much! Peter was so kind & helpful during the whole process. He was very communicative & quick to respond which I appreciated. He also kept me up to date with pictures & videos of our puppy before she came home to us. I can tell how loved our puppy was before she came to us as well, because of her sweet well mannered & comforting characteristics. She loves to sleep in her crate at night and is already holding her pee till the morning & she’s only 9 weeks old. We are so thankful we chose Peter with Ca Dachshund’s.     This is my first dog I’ve ever had, my breeder Peter made this process really easy, I couldn’t be happier! He answered any questions or concerns I had, explained how the process would work as far as how the payment would go, meet up location details & continued to send photos and updates about my puppy.
