I'm Keely P., the breeder behind Cajun Coast Dachshunds located in Lake Charles, LA. Cajun Coast Dachshunds is a small, family-operated breeder in Southwest Louisiana specializing in AKC Longhaired Miniature Dachshunds. We are dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies with exceptional temperaments, quality, and lifelong support for our families.

Why did you start breeding?
I always knew that I would want to breed animals. Growing up, I raised cattle, rabbits, chickens, etc. I bought my first Dachshund 2 years ago, and have bought 3 more from there! After realizing how much I loved this breed, I knew I wanted to share that love by starting a small breeding program of my own.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is highly focused on raising good quality puppies and finding the perfect home for each puppy. We are very thorough in deciding where our puppies go, and have each and every person fill out an application to get approved for a puppy. We handpick each of our breeders for specific color lines. All of our puppies go home with proper vet care, vaccinations, and other goodies!What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include red, chocolate, chocolate and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Price
“The price of each puppy is dependent on color and registration type, and whether breeding rights are requested. The price does include vaccinations, a vet exam, deworming, and microchip! Deposits are non refundable, and ensure the puppy that you want is reserved.”
