I'm Courtney C., the breeder behind Cajun Water Retrievers located in Carriere, MS. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a Lab. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. Why did you start breeding?
After getting Rowdy, we truly understood how special and personable he is an wanted to share his lineage with others.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is unique, as we introduce our puppies to so many different things, at such sn early age to help them adjust better to their new owners and new environment.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Courtney
Courtney has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes a non-refundable $250 deposit. Price is based on parents pedigrees. All are puppies are the same price regardless of color or gender. All puppies sold with limited AKC registration. Full AKC available upon request and approval for additional $250. Deposit are non-refundable and will ONLY refunded if the desired sex/color of puppy is not born.”

protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
