I'm Kimberly G., the breeder behind Cameo Dachshunds located in Orange Lake, FL. We are an in-home small breeding program where our dogs live in our homes, lay on our couches & sleep in our beds. They just happen to breed.
Q. & A. with Kimberly
Why did you start breeding?
I have always been a breeder from German Shepherds to Rottweilers, to birds and even miniature horses. Fell in love with the Dachshund breed while working as Vet Tech. We first bought a pet dachshund and it grew from there. I love combining conformation with color but even more importantly, personality.
What makes your program special?
I offer lifetime breeder support to all our puppy families! From training to health questions, I’m always here.
Our dogs are in our homes, on our couches and in our beds. They are our pets first! Puppies are raised and exposed to life in a home, not in cages 24/7.
I am big into the genetics and love researching. This leads to learning how to be a better breeder. There is always more to learn.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
