Q. & A. with Valerie
Why did you start breeding?
Purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy progression of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. As breeders, we are guardians for the future of the breed. I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies and continue my show line but to help set the standard for responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Chesapeake Bay Retriever will continue to thrive for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
I am a premier breed of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I produce top-quality companions and show prospects. My kennel is small and home-based, and I intend to keep it that way. My dogs are part of my family first and foremost. I produce limited litters to ensure quality and so that each puppy is given the proper amount of love, care, and attention that it deserves. It is quite an enjoyable process! My breeding stock is fully healthy and has been genetically tested. I am proud of the puppies that I produce, and I would be honored to connect with you!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
