Meet the breeder

I'm Deborah B., the breeder behind Canoe Creek Spoos located in Iva, SC. Our Standards are bred for health, therapy/service, obedience, possible show, & to be the best companions. The pups are raised on Pup Culture/ENS/ESI. They are exposed to various age groups and our other pets. We encourage everyone to enroll in basic obedience. This breed is so smart that it is necessary for them to learn the basics that they will perform very well for you.

Q. & A. with Deborah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have a friend that talked me into doing a show. Here is where I learned and read the breed standards for the Standard Poodle. My mentors have assisted me in finding appropriate mates and learning to see what I wanted to improve in my own dog. Being a nurse, breeding interested me as a hobby. From the health testing, to the OFA's, to actually being with your dog during birth is amazing.
  • What makes your program special?

I utilize my vet to assist with health of the adult poodles & the litter. I am educated with the necessary information to ensure that my poodles are of the best quality and will make awesome companions for anyone that is a good fit. My poodles are health tested, diversity tested & have OFA/CHIC #'s. The sire is UKC Grand Champion & currently titled in sports. The dam is pointed in conformation.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue, silver-beige, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
