Meet the breeder

I'm Brianna S., the breeder behind Cape Cod Doxies located in Forestdale, MA. Hi! I’m Brianna S, the breeder behind Cape Cod Doxies located in Sandwich, MA. Our dogs are first and foremost family. Our program is focused on producing healthy, well-socialized AKC miniature dachshunds with wonderful temperaments that will become cherished members of your family for years to come.

Q. & A. with Brianna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding through a combination of my veterinary background, lifelong love of dogs, and being inspired by my mother-in-law who has been breeding for over 30 years and has been a mentor to me. Watching the care and dedication that goes into raising puppies sparked my own passion and inspired me to start Cape Cod Doxies.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program special is that our puppies are truly raised as part of our family. From an early age they are exposed to children, car rides, bathing, nail trimming, blow dryers, crate training, and everyday household life. I strongly believe that early socialization helps shape confident, well-adjusted puppies and sets the foundation for them to become wonderful lifelong companions.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
