I'm Cara H., the breeder behind Cara Harker located in Bountiful, UT. I'm Cara, the breeder behind Cara Harker in Bountiful, Utah. Our puppies are loved from the moment they're born, raised in our home, and thoughtfully prepared for life with their forever families. We stay in touch with many of our puppy families and love watching them grow. Today, we're proud to continue Maggie's legacy through her daughter, Danica—while Maggie enjoys her well-earned role as "Grammy.".

Why did you start breeding?
Maggie was such an exceptionally loving, gentle, kind, loyal, and obedient girl that we truly felt there should be more “of her” in the world. We were blessed to have three litters with Maggie, totaling 25 puppies. She was a wonderfully gentle and attentive mother, and watching her raise and teach her babies made us fall in love with raising puppies and helping them become treasured members of their own families.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are loved, handled, and taught from the moment they are born. They grow up right in the middle of our family and learn that people, other animals, everyday household life, and new experiences are safe and fun. We introduce kennel training and house training, encourage good manners, and give them plenty of opportunities to explore, play, learn, and build confidence. Our goal is to send each puppy home loved, secure, and ready to make the transition into family life a little easier.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are blue merle. Australian Shepherd puppies are blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cara

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $625 refundable deposit and $625 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Each puppy goes home with a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, health records, a blanket with mom's scent, favorite toys, a keepsake digital Life Album with photos and videos from birth, and lifetime breeder support. $100 of the deposit is non-refundable. 50% deposit is required to hold any puppy.”

About Danica
Danica is an incredibly loving, intelligent, devoted girl with a wonderfully expressive personality. She is very connected to her people and communicates so clearly through her expressions and body language that we almost always know exactly what she is thinking! Danica is a wonderful mother. She is attentive and nurturing with her puppies while also giving them room to explore, learn, play, and gain confidence as they grow. She has a sweet, affectionate nature and loves being part of family life. Danica and Rollo genuinely adore each other. Rollo knows her by name and will make a beeline for our house if he hears “Danica” or even spots our van! They complement one another beautifully in temperament, intelligence, and personality, and we have been thrilled with the sweet, smart, people-oriented puppies they produced together.
