I'm Julie B., the breeder behind Caralot Miniature Poodles located in Pekin, IN. At Caralot Miniature Poodles we breed wonderful pups. Our sires and dams receive all the health tests recommended by the Poodle Club of America. They also excel in the show ring having earned several AKC Champion titles. When it comes to our puppies, they are raised in our living room and receive lots of socialization. We prepare our puppies to be enjoyable members of your family.
Q. & A. with Julie
Why did you start breeding?
I (Julie) grew up with a Miniature Poodle. When I met Rebecca in the '70s, she bred and showed Shelties. As time went on, we both got married and raised our children. After the children were grown, we decided to devote our lives to Poodles. After our first litter, there was no turning back, we were in love!
What makes your program special?
We health test above and beyond the Poodle Club of America's recommendations. If a new test becomes available, we test our dogs. All testing can be found on OFA's website. Beyond health, we breed for beautiful conformation and outstanding temperaments. Our dogs are loved dearly and we are excited for you to love your puppy dearly!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
