Heather O.

Breeder of Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Heather O., the breeder behind CarMel Australian Shepherds located in Black River Falls, WI. I hand-raise all of my dogs with love. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family complementary to their personality and ability! I want to make the transition from my loving home to yours as seamless as possible by giving personal attention to each little pup to ensure it is well-rounded and prepared to excel in its forever home.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding to not only preserve my own phenomenal bloodlines, but to improve this breed with each litter and do my part to ensure the well-being of these dogs for generations more to come. Many of my dogs have become exceptional show prospects and champions, but all of them have become excellent family dogs and lifelong friends.
  • What makes your program special?

I do not produce a litter unless each of my parent dogs are fully healthy and excellent representations of the standard. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my pups. I love what I do and truly want nothing more than to see each and every one of my puppies shine!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
