Meet the breeder

I'm Casey H., the breeder behind Carmel Mountain Aussies located in Grants Pass, OR. Puppies are given shots and dewormed before they go home at 8 weeks! They are AKC registered! They are exposed to many breeds and sizes of dogs as well as cats and children! They also start working on potty training at a young age and are on a great track with that before going home!

Q. & A. with Casey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with the Aussie breed when I saw the most beautiful Blue Merle service dog one time at an event! I couldn’t help but stop and stare at how beautiful and sweet the dog was, from that moment on I knew my first dog ever had to be an Aussie! Many years later I got my first farm house on 4 beautiful acres! I knew it was time to finally get my dream dog and from there is history!
  • What makes your program special?

We breed in a family home setting! There is so much land and space for the dogs to run and play on! They sleep in the house and in our beds! They are part of the family and have amazing temperaments! They are often keeping my children out of trouble and playing games with them! We breed for health and temperament! Our dogs are also AKC registered and health tested!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Casey was beyond wonderful to work with. From the first call she was informative and friendly and super passionate about her dogs. We really enjoyed the process all the way along...she was great providing us regular updates and sending us photos as we eagerly awaited to pick up our pup. She even went above and beyond supporting us through questions and recommendations after we took our little girl home. We are grateful to have found our dog from Carmel Mountain Aussies and would recommend anyone else to get your future 4 legged family member from Casey as well.

I decided to get another Aussie pup after losing my boy last summer, I found Casey and messaged her because all of her puppies are so gorgeous! She called me the next day and chatted about what I was looking for. Casey is so sweet and really put in effort to make sure I was able to get this puppy despite being in Idaho and not really able to travel too much at the moment. Her communication was fantastic, letting me FaceTime her to see multiple puppies and sending me updated photos once I was waiting to get my puppy I picked out! This little guy is now named Kenai, an homage to my last dog, and he is so sweet and smart! He LOVES his new sister Zoey! He is just a happy and healthy little puppy that is settling in so well! Casey has checked in with me in these first days to make sure he is settling in well! I am so happy I chose to go with Casey!

We loved working with Casey! She was great at keeping us updated. Answered all of our questions. And worked with me while I was traveling for my job. She sent us regular pictures and helped us navigate thru the first bits of us having him. When the time is right; we would by from her again!!!
