Q. & A. with Victor & Araceli
Why did you start breeding?
Once we acquired our first dogos, we fell in love with the breed and found the passion to not only breed but preserve and improve our beloved breed.
What makes your program special?
We think that the love and passion that we have for our dogos, combined with the knowledge of the breed and the kind of people we know will own our dogos, is what makes each breeding special and particular. We take great care to ensure that our dogos will not only be conformationally sound but also, that they will have the right temperament and function for future homes and their families.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Lexi
Lexus “Lexi” Casa de la Bahia is a well tempered well rounded Dogo Argentino. She comes from famous championship lines from both parents. She is the daughter of sire European champion Viron de la Paco Cassa. And Lexi has championship bloodlines from both of her parents.
Yet Lexi, was able to accomplish something no other female Dogo Argentino has done in America. Lexi is the first and only female to ever win the prestigious Westminster Dogo Argentino best of breed in New York City. Only a selected group of AKC champions are invited to this prestigious competition and the best of the best compete. Lexi managed to win the competition beating Dogo females and males alike.
Lexi has also earned her fast-cat competition awards.
Lexus Casa de la Bahia has had tremendous success in her campaign as she has accomplished the greatest awards at different dog show competitions. However, regardless of all of these accomplishments, to my wife Lexus Casa de la Bahia is part of our family and she’s known to her as her, “Lexi girl”.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Casa de la Bahia reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Dogo Argentinos.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
