I'm carrie c., the breeder behind Casperdachs located in Flagstaff, AZ. Our dogs are bred and raised in our home for health, temperament, and conformation to the standard, we breed for ourselves first to continue to preserve the breed, We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. In order to start our puppies off on the right paw, we begin training and socializing at a young age so they are set up for success in their new homes. We prioritize the health and well-being of each one of our puppies and follow all appropriate puppy health protocols.

Why did you start breeding?
As a kid my parents bred and hunted beagles, my mother continued with dachshunds, when I got married we got into Great Danes and Pomeranians, then took a break to have kids, 2016 we got our first standard dachshund males, and started showing, from there we got our first female standard showed her to a championship, and had our first breeding, she had a singleton and we are excited to see what she does in the ring and whelp box,
What makes your program special?
We do health testing, and participate in medical and research genetics testing with our dogs, we will always take back a pup or dog for any reason at any age if owner is no longer able to keep the dog.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Cystinuria Urine Test (PennGen), Brucellosis
