I'm Amy C., the breeder behind Causey Ranch Aussies located in Cherry Valley, CA. We are CauseyRanch, we have limited litters of Australian Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers. Our love for both breeds makes us work especially hard to find the perfect pairing who will produce quality puppies. We focus on raising puppies with exceptional health, temperament & great socialization.
Q. & A. with Amy
Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding Aussies because I think Australian Shepherds are the smartest, most loyal and beautiful breed of dog there is! You will never have a bad day if you spend your time with an Aussie. My husband has alway had Labrador Retrievers and we finally have what we think is an exceptional line of English Labradors. They embody the perfect English physique, block heads and stout body.
What makes your program special?
We have done genetic testing on all my dogs. We plan to have OFA done as soon as my younger 4 are old enough. We spend all our time with our puppies to guarantee they have great socialization skills with other dogs and people. We start Potty training at three weeks and our focus is on health, genetics, temperament and personality
We will only match our parents if they meet our criteria.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
