I'm Annabel M., the breeder behind Cavalier Acres Farm located in Gladys, VA. Our Cardigans are bred with planning and forethought with the goal of producing healthy companions true to the breed standard. We compete with our Cardigans in conformation, agility, herding, tracking and obedience. Cavalier bred dogs are consistently competing with success in coursing related competitions and scent work as well. Our Anatolian Pyrenees are our working livestock guardian dogs.
Q. & A. with Annabel
Why did you start breeding?
I started showing in conformation & obedience, joined the CWCCA, found mentors, seminars, & read all I could & after 8 years bred my first litter.
I bred my first livestock guardian dog litter this spring.
What makes your program special?
I am selecting for both working ability and conformation to the breed standard. My ideal Cardigan would have the ability to earn championships in breed, herding, agility, obedience, tracking & any other area of competition. My Anatolian Pyrenees are raised to be working livestock guardians and companions to the family as well.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include sable and white, red and white, brindle and white, blue merle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Everything went wonderfully working with Annabel to find our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppy, Honey. Her communication was incredible throughout as she thoroughly explained the process, answered all questions, and continued to send updates and pictures of Honey before we got her. I could tell that she really cares about her puppies and the homes that they are going to. She even helped select a puppy out of the litter of 8 with the temperament we were looking for. And, it was a great experience when our family went to pick up our puppy at Annabel's house. I would highly recommend Cavalier Acres Farm if you are looking for a Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
