Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding because of our deep love for animals, especially English Labrador Retrievers. Their gentle nature, loyalty, and intelligence won our hearts. We wanted to share this amazing breed with others and help preserve the qualities that make Labs so special.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because we focus on health, temperament, and quality. All our Labs are AKC registered and undergo OFA health and genetic testing. Raised in our home with love and care, our puppies are well socialized, confident, and ready to become loyal family companions.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Jake & Starr

"Our price includes limited AKC registration, first vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and a health guarantee. Our puppies are the same price, regardless of color, size, or gender. A deposit reserves your puppy and goes toward the total price. We offer a 10% discount for first responders, nurses, and military."

About Lucy
Lucy is one of the beloved Labrador Retrievers at Cecil's Arizona Labradors, and she brings joy to everyone she meets. With her goofy personality, playful energy, and love for affection, she keeps us entertained every day. She is the perfect mix of fun and love- always ready for a game of fetch, but just as happy to snuggle up for belly rubs. She's also incredibly curious and want to be involved in everything we do. If there's an activity happening, you can count on Lucy to be right there, eager to "help" in her own special way! Beyond her wonderful temperament, Lucy comes from exceptional lines, with AKC registration and thorough OFA health and genetic testing to ensure she passes on the best traits. She is everything a Labrador should be- intelligent, affectionate, and full of life. We are so luck to have Lucy as part of our family and love watching her bring happiness to everyone she meets!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

My husband and I could not be happier with our experience with Jake and Starr in getting our wonderful pup Moses. They have been so prompt in responding to us and super helpful in every aspect of the process. It was obvious from the beginning that they are not only very knowledgeable about the breed and the whole process of buying and raising a healthy and happy dog. We were given almost daily updates of our chosen puppy in pictures, videos, and chats. In these videos we could see just how much work and care Jake and Starr were giving the puppies each and every day. Just seeing this, along with watching our little guy grow, was so heartwarming and exciting. The entire process was seamless, professional, and secure. When it came to arranging pickup for our Moses, Jake and Starr were the best! It was clear just how much they loved and cared for our little guy when it came time for them to say goodbye-which was so touching and really spoke to the devotion they put into everything they do. It was unexpected and extremely awesome to see just how much work they had put into the care and training of our puppy Moses before he came to us. He was basically potty trained, knew to sit before being fed or coming in or outside. He arrived happy, healthy, playful and clearly exposed to a lot of different sounds and situations. We continue to stay in contact with them-not only updating them with how Moses is doing, but also as a solid and reliable resource for any questions that we may have. I cannot express enough just how happy and grateful we are for them and for our WONDERFUL Moses!

+6We found our sweet new family member, Jasper (formerly Archie), through Jake and Starr at Cecil’s Arizona Labradors on Good Dog. Of course, we instantly fell in love with his photos, but what really reassured us was reading about his parents—their personalities and temperaments made us feel confident that Jasper would be the perfect fit for our family. From the very beginning, Jake and Starr were so wonderful to work with. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and always quick to answer any questions we had. Starr regularly sent us photos and videos of Jasper, and it was such a joy to watch him grow and see his little “big" personality start to shine. When it was time to bring him home, my husband flew from California to Arizona, and Jake was kind enough to meet him closer to the airport—which made things so much easier for us. Since then, we’ve stayed in touch with both Jake and Starr, sending them photos and videos of Jasper as he grows, knowing how much love they have for him and his siblings. We couldn’t recommend them, or Good Dog, more highly. It’s been such a wonderful experience from start to finish, and we’re so grateful to have Jasper as part of our family.

Jake and Starr are wonderful people that really care about and love their puppies while raising them up temporarily for you. It was the closest thing I found to organically buying a puppy from a "family", not just from a breeder. They teach them early on to use a doggy door and also to go potty on the grass. This was so helpful in potty training our puppy. Communication was good throughout the whole process and they post lots of videos for you to see your pup's personality. We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend them.
