I'm Edna L., the breeder behind Cedar House Heritage Poodles | AKC Toy & Miniature Poodle Puppies Raised in Home located in Falcon, MO. We raise a limited number of AKC Toy & Miniature Poodle puppies each year in our Missouri home. With our foundation of health-tested parents, a 1-year health guarantee, and daily in-home socialization, we believe our puppies make perfect companions, whether as family pets or emotional support dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up in a family that raised AKC Champion Bulldogs and Pugs, where I learned hands-on experience in showing, whelping, and raising puppies inside our home. Those early lessons in health, quality, and genetics inspired me to continue the tradition with Toy & Miniature Poodles. Today, breeding is something our family enjoys doing together, carrying a legacy of raising healthy, well-loved dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is built on integrity. We never inbreed, mix breeds, sell to pet stores, or resell puppies bred by others . We also do not use guardian dog programs—our parent dogs are our beloved pets. Every puppy is born and raised in our home, never in outdoor kennels, and nurtured under close watch from our parent dogs who we believe are the total package of health, beauty, and personality.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, black, blue, brown, cream, red, gray, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Edna

Edna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Edna partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Edna is amazing. While I was waiting to pick Poppi up, Edna sent me pictures and videos of her regularly. Edna answered all my nervous questions about making sure Poppi was a healthy puppy and provided all documentation for her. Edna and her husband made pickup a breeze, meeting me at the airport and having everything from a blanket and toy to treats and food for Poppi’s travels. Once I got Poppi home, I was delighted by a really good dog. She has a great temperament and gets along great with all my grandchildren. She has been easy to train and an adorable companion already.     Edna and her family were so attentive to my story of a new family pup, a lil brother to my orphaned hound dog after his person passed in 2024, and a companion for me after the loss of my 16 year companion pup passed in 2025. She listened and matched the perfect silly, playful, handful we named Finn. Finn was raised to be playful, held, and loving. He is now the unimaginable companion to his big brother Tom and me.     This entire experience has been a dream… and I’m pretty darn picky!! I have had poodles all of my life, and our little Vivi is, by far, is the sweetest and best behaved poodle I have ever had the pleasure of knowing!! I believe that this wonderful experience has a lot to do with Edna and her family and also much to do with her poodles she chooses to breed. When I found Vivian on Good Dog, I contacted Edna right away, and she answered her phone. I was impressed at her knowledge for the breed, love for the breeding process, and care she took in answering all of my questions. It was like I was talking with a friend and it still remains that way. Edna was always on top of everything and is always responsive and amiable, never making me feel like a hassle for asking questions. I love that this family has a routine for all of their puppies. It is without a doubt that these puppies are very well taken care of, like nothing I’ve ever seen before!! They are loved on by their little girls and have a routine for everyday: sleep, potty, eat, play, repeat!! This healthy routine even includes crate training. I have tried crate-training my other poodles to no avail. Vivi has surprised us with loving her crate. Even the first night, she slept soundly in her crate, by herself without a fight. I’m sure this is because they start crate training them after they are weened, sleeping with their siblings in one. Not only is Enda gracious and kind, but she is also highly organized and professional. She was always on top of everything from vaccinations to pet visits, to forms, to food and vitamin recommendations. She even gave us a folder of all we needed when we picked Vivi up, filled with food samples and vitamins, and instructions of everything to take care of these little pups. Edna and her family deeply care about the dogs and puppies and treats them like family. It was seriously a better experience, than I could have dreamt of. A positive, loving household caring for my puppy with years of knowledge, made all the difference in who Vivi turned out to be. Not only that, but they made the process seamless. I may buy another poodle one day and there is no other breeder I would choose. We are delighted with our Vivi Grace and we’re blown away how Edna put me at ease made everything fall into place. We have an amazing dog from an amazing breeder.
