Meet the breeder

I'm Micha E., the breeder behind Ceilidh Collies located in Dickson, TN. My purpose is to ensure the survival of the breed I love. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed including: health, temperament, conformation, pedigree, and complementary traits so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents. I produce show, sport, and companions in all coats and colors.

Q. & A. with Micha

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I bought my first Collie as an adult, the breeder was so adamant about where her Collies went and how they were treated that it inspired me to want to help promulgate this amazing dog. To make sure they were available for families, were healthy, could do the job they were bred for, and have the hallmark temperaments they are renowned for.
  • What makes your program special?

I have bred Collies since 1998 and have produced dogs that can win in conformation, agility, obedience, herding, and rally, as well as work in service and therapy jobs. Most of all they have produced long lived family members who have brought love and joy to many families. My dogs have been able to produce generation after generation of the same characteristics that make them Collies.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include rough and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, black white and tan, sable merle and white, sable merle, sable and white, sable, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
