I'm Curtis W., the breeder behind Centennial Acres Dobermans located in Mifflinburg, PA. Della, our doberman, lives with my wife, Kayla, and I, and our four young boys on our flower farm and homestead.
Q. & A. with Curtis
Why did you start breeding?
We didn't understand all the health issues the breed faces when we got our first dog, Maverick. We wanted to provide families with quality family Dobermans and focus on health and education.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are family raised! Della is our family pet. We also work with mentors in the Doberman world to choose best pairings to work towards longevity of the breed and health of your dog.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Della
Della, our mama, love to be right with us every chance she gets! She is our family dog and spends lots of time with Curt in his office while he works. Her favorite game is fetch and we recently discovered she loves the flirt pole as well! Her favorite thing to do in the evenings is lay by the fire. She is a quiet, wise girl - only barking if she is outside watching over our boys. She's an amazing, attentive mother to her puppies as well!

Curtis put in the time and effort to match me with a dog when other breeders wouldn’t. I really appreciate how I never felt rushed to choose a puppy. My puppy is so sweet you can tell she was hand-raised. She’s social, loves to cuddle, and confident. You can tell how much Curtis cares about the puppies he raises but also the breed. It was a really refreshing experience that felt intentional from all sides and like I was joining a family. I’m proud to say I got a pup from such a responsible breeder.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
