I'm Erick J., the breeder behind Central Washington Doodles located in Ellensburg, WA. We’re a family breeder passionate about raising exceptional Bernedoodles—intelligent, gentle, and low-shedding. Their loving nature and allergy-friendly coats make them ideal for families. Our children help care for the dogs, learning genetics, responsibility, and the ethics behind quality breeding.
Q. & A. with Erick
Why did you start breeding?
Our son wanted to breed dogs to care for animals and save for college—but Jenn’s one rule was no dogs, ever. After lots of conversations, she finally agreed it would be a meaningful experience for our whole family. Now, with 8 acres to explore, our dogs are truly part of the family. We chose Bernedoodles for their intelligence, loving nature, and teddy bear-like charm—ideal family companions.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because each dog receives abundant love, attention, and early training with Manding and ENS methods. Raised in a peaceful country setting, our dogs live a natural, organic lifestyle filled with fresh air and freedom. This nurturing environment shapes well-rounded, confident pups ready for loving homes.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are tri-color. Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
