Meet the breeder

I'm Charlotte T., the breeder behind Charlotte Toney located in College Station, TX. Our Labrador Retriever breeding program began out of a genuine love for our dogs and their natural hunting abilities. We are passionate about preserving the intelligence, athleticism, and loyal temperament that make Labradors exceptional companions in both the field and the home. Our current litter was thoughtfully bred from dogs we personally hunt with and raise as members of our family. We focus on producing healthy, well-tempered puppies with strong retrieving instincts, sound structure, and the versatility that Labradors are known for. Our goal is to raise puppies that will thrive as hunting partners, active family companions, and loyal lifelong friends.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Great level

Charlotte Toney reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
