Q. & A. with Toree

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love genetics. I love the Australian Shepherd breed of dog. Through my degrees in agriculture and business, I found my passion through my dogs. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others.
  • What makes your program special?

I hold myself to the highest standard when it comes to my dogs and my policies. I am thorough in health testing and caring for my dogs, and I make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual attention that it needs to thrive. My goal is to ensure that every dog that comes from my program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves my care.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I purchased my Australian Shepherd, Valkyrie (“Kyrie”), from Toree and had an excellent experience. Kyrie has a strong, service-oriented temperament and has been exceptionally trainable. She is currently excelling in agility and advanced obedience, and we plan to compete once she reaches full mastery. Toree was friendly, personable, and very educational throughout the process. Her communication and dedication stood out, and it’s clear she cares deeply about her dogs and their placements. I highly recommend Toree to anyone looking for a well-bred Aussie with an excellent temperament and a breeder who genuinely invests in her puppies’ futures.

Our experience with Tori has been nothing short of extraordinary. Bringing home Kleya(then Kaidy) has been one of the best experiences of my life so far. Communicative, professional, and throughly vetting to make sure all her pups go to great homes! As a first time Aussie owner we were VERY nervous about getting a dog from a breeder but Tori’s dedication to genetically diverse pups has been very reassuring! Our baby is almost 1 now and we are definitely going to be going back to Tori for our next pup! Kleya is just so sweet and a very hard worker inside and outside and we couldn’t ask for a better companion.

Toree was wonderful throughout the entire process! I cannot recommend her enough! We loved getting the weekly photo shoots and updates until it was time to bring our boy tecova (formerly austin) home! We now have these photos to cherish forever! He is one of the best dogs, he is extremely intelligent and an amazing herding dog. His instincts came naturally and has great qualities from both of his parents! He was easy to train, as the potty training had started with toree prior to bringing him home unlike other places. We got to meet the parents of our boy on pickup day and get to learn all about her business and her love for all of her babies. Toree continues to check in on all of her babies and loves getting updates on them as they grow! The process was informative, trustworthy, and smooth. We will definitely continue to go through charming Australian shepherds for future additions to our family! From the bottom of our hearts thank you toree, your love for what you do shows and we cannot thank you enough for our precious boy! If you are looking to adopt from her know that you will be working with the best!
