Q. & A. with Toree

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love genetics. I love the Australian Shepherd breed of dog. Through my degrees in agriculture and business, I found my passion through my dogs. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others.
  • What makes your program special?

I hold myself to the highest standard when it comes to my dogs and my policies. I am thorough in health testing and caring for my dogs, and I make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual attention that it needs to thrive. My goal is to ensure that every dog that comes from my program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves my care.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience with Toree! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly knowledgeable about the breed. I recently brought home my beautiful Australian Shepherd, Hazel, and she has been an absolute dream—healthy, happy, and already so well-socialized. It’s clear that Toree truly cares about her dogs and the homes they go to. Hazel came to me with a great start—she was confident, curious, and had obviously been raised in a loving environment. Toree kept me updated throughout the entire process with photos, updates, and answered every question I had with patience and expertise. If you’re looking for a responsible, ethical breeder who genuinely prioritizes the health, temperament, and wellbeing of their dogs, I highly recommend Charming Aussies. I feel so lucky to have found them, and even luckier to have Hazel in my life. She’s the perfect addition to our family!

Toree was AMAZING throughout the entire process. I chose my baby in the first pictures posted. Only 1 day old and I knew she was the one. Toree was always available to answer all of my questions and she kept me updated on my puppy's progress throughout. Now that my sweet girl is here, I can't say enough about how incredibly intelligent, sweet natured, and all around perfect my girl is. You can tell Toree knows her Aussies and is breeding with the old time aussie standards in mind. I would highly recommend this breeder and can testify to the phenomenal dogs that come from here. Truly a gift from God. Forever grateful.
